Turning 40 can be painful… and fun  

My brother in law is turning 40 this weekend.

To  celebrate, he’s taking us to the beach…

But not just to the beach… he’s actually getting us all rooms in a gorgeous resort right on a beautiful white sand beach for this Saturday night so we can all go console him and ease the “pain” of turning 40, LOL

It’s gonna be a great weekend…

Letting the kids and cousins ‘babysit’ each other all day long so moms, dads and grandparents can relax and “talk story” (… as they say in Hawaii)

I can’t wait!

While getting  ready for the weekend, I started thinking a lot about my own family…

My wife makes me feel like the luckiest guy in the world… and lately I feel like I’m falling in love with her all over again.

Every couple has a great story about how they met.

But each partner has a little bit different ‘memory’ on how it all happened So if you ever meet my wife, and she tries to tell you, “We just met through friends”…

Being a parent is absolutely priceless.  Our 6-year old had a big “first” this last weekend… You know what?   Whether it’s your first “crush”, your first job, your first car…
